It looks great, darlin'! I especially like the kitty accessories on your couch. Did that come with the slip covers?

Also? You have a lot of books.

In your first pictures, they are all straight-y and OCD-y.

In your last pictures, they are taking over the joint. I like it when books take over the joint. My books have totally taken over the joint at Blognut Manor. In fact, they are now running the joint. :)

And somewhere in there, this blog, (which hates me, incidentally), ate my second comment.

The one that said this:

Hellooooo! Am I all alone here on this blog? Commenting first? In front of Cheri? AGAIN!

Can I get a 'booyah' from the group?

Maybe the blog knew I was being immature and ate my comment to save my soul from my evil ways?

Fourth? I'm FOURTH? Blognut, you couldn't have let me be second? I was driving down the freeway. Pulling over would have proven my insanity once and for all. Not that licking Adam Lambert's album cover photo off my computer screen didn't already prove it.

Oh, by the way, since this is supposed to be about She, I should say that I love the patterns on the slipcovers. I think it is all charming and works perfectly and cheerfully. Also? My bookshelves have taken over the joint, too. What is that about us?

Embrace your insanity Cheri. We love that about you.

The fact that you lick pictures of Adam Lambert, have a crush on a Hot Toe Doctor, walk into walls (doors?), and occasionally wet yourself all add to the charm that is Cheri. We wouldn't change a thing about you, sweetheart.

XO

Blognut: Thank you for not mentioning the M&M addiction.

She: I really, really love your living room. It is warm and inviting, all the while being elegant and tasteful. That's a winning combination.

I like 'em! You know we have the same taste, right? In art, furniture, colors, etc.

I think the red looks great for fall/winter... and then maybe you could bring the white back for spring/summer...?

Bring back the old striped rug and it might work better. I like the slipcovers, but the rug and covers seem to not work.

I love it all, but I think Heather is right. If there's an "off" note it is the rug.

I love the striped slipcovers with the painting on the wall.

Looks lovely.

I like it, I just think the rug is out of place

I have the same rug in my living room. It looks better in yours. Swear to God.

Did I mention that I love that rug?

I do.

Love that rug.

That rug is just gorgeous!

I'm moving in.
No, wait.
Scratch that.
I wasn't invited.
YOU'RE moving in.
But only if you bring like, every single thing in that living room.
I LOVE it. All of it!

Rug is good. No such thing as too many patterns. Patterns and color are goooood! I totally want to come live with you. Please?! How about a vacation at your place! It's good really!

the rug is beautiful.

juan loves the flower painting.

juan is real.

if there's an 'off-note' in this comment section it's...well, you know.

Wow! Color! I love the wall color.

Love it!

I LOVE them! Good choices. Looks so homey, I want to read one of your books on your couch :)

I vote for denim, but there's time to recover before I move in.

I like the white better...but, if the white was stained something awful, I could imagine wanting to change them.

They're beautiful!

No! I love it!! It look so much warmer. I don't think it is too much, but you could always change the rug easy pleasy. But it has more joy now.

:)

YUM! I LOVE your place-both in print and in person!

Um Carrie, WE have to get a bigger place for ALL of us to fit when that finally happens! Remember?!?!!? AND we need a lanai like on Golden Girls!!!!!:)xoxo

WOW! Warm and vibrant!
Just how I see you. ♥

love it! the new slipcovers wake the whole room up!

looks great!!!

My Photo

My story

  • I struggle with all that has made me "crooked" in my life especially growing up in the Bible belt where my grandma's fear of the end of the world scared the crap out of me on a daily basis. By the time I was 7 I was convinced I had committed a sin that was so completely and utterly unpardonable that I was going straight to hell. So I hopped on the church bus each Sunday morning desperate to spend time with God in spite of my impending doom. My journey to find God in church led to a few disastrous entanglements with "Christians" who gave me every reason to give up my search for Jesus and run like the dickens to get away from them. I did run, too, all the way to the West Coast, and even though I have some pretty nasty wounds, Jesus, I believe, is at work straightening all my "crooked" places. In my opinion, it's taking too damn long, but then again, I struggle to do my part in this process of being set free. Redemption is the work of Jesus. Maturity, well, that seems to be up to me, and evidently, I'm a slow learner.
