The idea is that if we can be centered on principles (truth, honesty, faithfulness, wisdom, trust, acceptance, etc.) then we won't get caught up in the drama of being overly centered on friends, school, stuff, work, etc.

"There are three constants in life... change, choice, and principles."
– Stephen R. Covey
"If you focus on principles, you empower everyone who understands those
principles to act without constant monitoring, evaluating, correcting, or
controlling"
– Stephen R. Covey
Practices
– what to do's – are specific activities or actions
that work in one circumstance but not necessary in another.
Principles
– why to do's – have universal application; when
principles are internalized into habits, they empower people to create a wide variety of practices
to deal with different situations.

My students and I are trying to be more principle centered these days.
I had gotten just a tad bit blog centered!
I'm attempting to create more balance in my days and evenings!
I've missed you!
I will be back!
